New works and another art fair

My apologies on the picture quality... I've been working at a new place which allows for limited studio time. I have been pushing to get into the studio every day and try to make work. Here was a little commission I made from a friend at work. He gave me a real bear claw and asked if I could make a metal one without a high polish surface. I decided to use cuddle-bone (hence the texture) to cast sterling silver. I love how it turned out and so did my friend and his wife. Thank you for your support. This was a fun project to get the wheels turning once again.

Below are some new vessels. I implemented some new methods and tried to push limits of the materials and my skill level. I also attempted to replicate a personal favorite with minor changes.

I am also pleased to announce that I will be a vendor at the Driftless Area Art Festival, Saturday September 19th and Sunday September 20th. Hopefully I will be informed as to where my booth will be located so I can pass on the details for those of you who would be visiting me.

The fair is at the Beauford T. Anderson Park in Soldiers Grove, WI. The event has free admission and parking, 80 visual artists, live music and local foods. Show is open Saturday 9/19 from 10am until 5pm and Sunday 9/20 from 10am until 4 pm.  More info at: www.DriftlessAreaArtFestival.com Please stop in and say hello.
